During the normal admissions round, Essex County Council operates the co-ordinated admissions scheme, which includes Clacton County High School.

Admissions September 2025

Clacton County High School - Open Evening - Thursday 19th September 2024

Parents and Carers of Year 6 pupils have to consider their child’s secondary school place for September 2025.
This is a key decision in the life of any child.

The staff, students and governors at Clacton County High School cordially invite future students along with their families to our annual open evening on
Thursday 19th September, commencing at 4.00pm until 7.00pm.

We look forward to welcoming Year 6 students and their parents .

All applications for secondary school admission in September 2024 must be made by 31st October 2023 by following the application process outlined by Essex County Council on their website - HERE
Late submissions may not be able to gain a place at CCHS.

Appeals Information

Essex County Council have issued the following information regarding appeals:

If you have been refused a place at any school for which you applied, you have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel. Appeals must be lodged within 20 school days of being refused a place. There is no guarantee of success with any admission appeal. We, therefore, advise you not to refuse the school place offered until you have secured another place for your child’s education.
