Ofsted

Clacton County High School is an inclusive school dedicated to making a difference to the lives of all of our students. With higher expectations, we are focussed on raising aspirations for all and creating a place of learning where students are able to fulfil their potential and plan for their futures. Situated within the heart of Clacton, we are proud of our standing and the contributions we make. Our young people are compassionate and care about their community and this is lived through our PROUD values. We are extremely proud of our students, who, supported by their parents, are dedicated and generous in giving with their time and efforts. Whilst creating an environment throughout the school that promotes an attitude and ethos to learn and do well, we want all of our students to have a very happy and positive experience of life at Clacton County High School.

The school first opened in 1928 as the County Secondary School and has grown to now accomodate over 1800 students, across two sites and seven year groups. Clacton County High School converted to academy status in 2012, as part of the North East Essex Education Partnership (NEEEP). In September 2016, the school was fundamental in the formation of the Sigma Trust, a family of twelve local schools (eight secondary schools, one primary and two junior schools) in North-East Essex.
