CCHS PROUD Community

750km in February for Blood Cancer UK

As part of their ‘CCHS PROUD in the Community’ focus, a group of our Year 10 and 11 students, who all play for Holland Football Club, are raising money and awareness for Blood Cancer UK. Throughout February and into March the nine boys have been collectively aiming to run at least 750km and hoping to raise £1 for every kilometre they complete. Blood Cancer UK is a charity dedicated to funding research into all blood cancers including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma. All the money donated will be greatly appreciated and put to excellent use, helping to make sure that Blood Cancer UK can keep up its excellent work and support.

Congratulations to Harrison Smith, Adam Churchill, Conner Hills, Kenzie Oughton, Joe Simmons, Sam Thomas, Harry White, Ronnie Willis and Year 10 student, Harry Clawson Roberts. The boys are now half-way through their four week run and so far achieved almost 300km. They have welcomed the lighter evenings and warmer weather which has helped to motivate them to reach their goal. Although they have already exceeded their target of £750, the boys would welcome any additional support – please follow this link to donate.
