Year 6 into 7 - Primary Transition
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to Clacton County High School (CCHS). We look forward to working closely with you over the next few years.
Our Transition Team will be visiting each of our feeder Primary schools during June to talk to those Year 6 students who will be joining CCHS in September 2026. They will talk about school and what students should expect and distribute this year's 'CCHS Year 6 into Year 7 Induction Booklet' that will provide more information about our school and what to expect to help prepare them for starting their secondary education at CCHS in September. There will also an opportunity to answer any questions that the students may have.
Our new Year 7 students are invited to join us for their Induction day on Thursday 25th June when they will get the chance to have a guided tour of the school, get to do some sample lessons, and meet their new tutor group. Throughout the day they will be able to talk to some of our current Year 7 students, who were in their position this time last year, and can tell you more about life at CCHS. They will also meet some of the adults in the school who will help and support them throughout their time with us.
In the evening of Thursday 25th June we invite our new students to return to the school with and their families for a presentation, where they too can find out some more about CCHS and meet key people.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email CCHS and a member of the Transition Team will respond:
