Subjects @ Sigma Sixth Tendring
A-Level Spanish
The ability to speak a foreign language not only develops our skills of communication but also allows a deeper understanding, perspective and immersion into different cultures. In an increasingly competitive global job market, having a language will stand students in good stead when deciding on a future career path, whether at home or abroad.
As well as acquiring new ideas and ways of looking at the world, foreign-language speakers also come to have a better command of the syntax and formation of languages and an understanding of linguistics in general. Research has shown that learning a language can help to improve problem-solving and memory skills, as well as general mental agility.
