A-Level Religious Studies

Religious Studies is a comprehensive, challenging and highly rewarding subject. It allows students to develop reflective skills, to gain an understanding of life, beliefs and views of other cultures, and to cultivate a critical and an analytical mind in response to moral philosophical issues. The valuable skills learned via this course are extremely adaptable and transferrable to wide range of career paths.

Religious Studies links well to a wide range of other A Level subjects including History, Sociology, English Language, Literature, Law, Politics, Citizenship, Economics, Geography, Maths and Sciences.

Assessment is via written examination only.

Entry Requirements:

Students need to have achieved a minimum of 6 grades 5-9 incl. English and Maths and should be aiming to achieve a minimum grade 6 in GCSE RE.
